Lexicon Privacy Policy
Effective 25 September 2026
Lexicon is a vocabulary study app for the SAT Reading & Writing section. You sign in with your email address so that your progress is kept in your account; beyond that, Lexicon collects as little as it can.
What Lexicon stores
- Your email address. It is how you sign in: Lexicon emails you a one-time code (and a link), and the address identifies your account. Lexicon never sends you any other email.
- Your study progress: which words you have reviewed and when, your answers in sessions and practice questions, the words you flag as “don’t know”, the notes you write, the words you add yourself, and your settings (language, theme, weekly goal, test day, and the name you want the app to greet you with, if you give one). It is kept on your phone and in your account in Lexicon’s database, so that it follows you to your other devices and survives a lost phone.
What Lexicon does not do
- No advertising, no advertising identifiers.
- No analytics or tracking of any kind; no third-party SDKs other than the database client.
- No selling, renting or sharing of your data with anyone.
- No access to your contacts, location, photos, microphone or camera.
Who processes the data
Accounts and the cloud copy of your progress are hosted by Supabase, Inc. on Lexicon’s behalf. Each person’s rows are protected by database rules so that only that person’s own account can read or change them. Sign-in emails are sent from Lexicon’s own mailbox through Google’s mail service (Gmail). When an account is created, Lexicon’s developer is notified of the email address, so that they can help if something goes wrong.
Deleting your data
- Account and cloud data: in the app, open Settings and tap “Delete my account and data”, then confirm. Your account, your email address and every row of your progress are deleted at once.
- Data on the device: Settings → “Clear my progress”, or delete the app.
Children
Lexicon is meant for students preparing for the SAT. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and it will be removed.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published at this address with a new effective date.
